OVERVIEW
The project reimagines an existing 1950s strip mall in Houston, converted into retail space for a popsicle store and a barber shop. The former washeteria was remodeled to preserve the existing delicately modern colonnade, but with new steel planters that hover above the sidewalk and new storefronts with custom door handles. The service entrance was transformed into a large round window, a strong punctuation mark at the end of the building.
